The Moo win their 26th game of the season 10-2 against the Hastings Sodbusters in a game that was very close up until the very end.

Fremont, NE- The Moo win their 26th game of the season 10-2 against the Hastings Sodbusters, in a game that was close up until the very end. Fremont now moves to 10-3 in the 2nd half 2 games up in 1st(26-16 overall) while Hastings now moves to 4-10 in the 2nd half(18-23 overall).
The Moo would open up the scoring in the 3rd with three runs sparked by a fielder's choice by Derian Morphew that scored Ian Graf, then an Austin Baskin single scored Kanin Dodge and Ben Higdon. They would tack on two more in the 4th on two different wild pitches that scored Tyler Harrington and Evan Rowe to make it 5-0.
Hastings would get within three with two runs in the fifth but Fremont would blow the game wide open with five runs in the 8th for the eventual final score of 10-2. That was started by a bases-loaded walk of Zech Samayoa that scored Dodge, then a single by Harrington scored Higdon, before a three-run double by Nico Azpilcueta cleared the bases scoring Samayoa, Harrington, and Baskin.
Luke Hamzeh got the credit with the win for the Moo going 4.1 innings, allowing two runs on five hits, and striking out eight. Jeremy Schneider was charged with the loss for Hastings going four innings, allowing five runs(three earned) on six hits, and striking out three in the process. The Moo and Sodbusters will play again tomorrow at 5:05 PM for the final game of the series with the series sweep on the line for Fremont.
