The Moo get their 19th win of the season and 4th series win in a 13-6 slugfest against the Nebraska Prospects.

Fremont, NE- The Moo get their 19th win of the season and 4th series win in a 13-6 slugfest against the Nebraska Prospects. The Moo are now five games over .500 for the first time all season, moving to 3-1 in the second half(19-14 overall). The Prospects are now 10-11 with the loss, looking to avoid the series sweep tonight.
The Moo would open up the scoring once again, as they have done so many times throughout this season, with two runs in the bottom of the 1st. Matt Spear would be the one to get those runs as he was thrown out at first, but an error by the NEP SS allowed Kanin Dodge and Derian Morphew to score on the play. NEP would tie it back up in the 3rd with a two-run HR before Fremont would take the lead for good in the 4th inning. Hayden Lewis got his first HR of the season on a 3-run rocket to right field to put the Moo up 5-2.
Fremont and NEP would trade a run each in the bottom of the 5th and top of the 6th, respectively, before the Moo blew the game wide open with a five-run 6th to make it 11-3. That outburst was jumpstarted by a Spear bloop single that scored Tyler Harrington and Hayden Lewis, then a bases-loaded walk of Bentley Boekhout scored Morphew, a bases-loaded walk of Jared Snyder scored Spear, and Austin Baskin would score on a passed ball in the final at-bat of the inning. Three more for the Prospects in the 7th on a bases-clearing double cut the lead to 11-6. However, two in the 8th for the Moo on a Lewis single scoring Spear, then a bases-loaded walk of Dodge scored Baskin would be the final runs of the game, a 13-6 win for Fremont.
Hitting-wise, Lewis had his most impressive outing of the season going 2-4 with three RBIs and two runs, Dodge went 3-4 with one RBI and two runs, and Spear went 1-4 with three RBIs and three runs. For the Prospects, Colin Lynam went 4-5 with five RBIs and two runs on two HRs continuing his hot streak at the plate. Marco Ibarra was the winning pitcher for the Moo going six innings, allowing three runs(two earned) on seven hits, and striking out twelve.
