The Moo get their 18th win overall and 2nd in the 2nd half in a 5-2 win against the Nebraska Prospects

Fremont, NE- The Moo get their 18th win of the season and are four games over.500 for the first time this season 5-2 against the Nebraska Prospects. Fremont now moves to 18-14 overall and a half-game back of 1st for the 2nd half standings. The Prospects move to 10-10 overall on the season but are not eligible for postseason contention in the Independence League.
The Prospects would open up the scoring in the 2nd with an RBI double to make it 1-0, but Fremont would tie it back up at one a couple of innings later in the 4th. That run was caused by a Nico Azpilcueta double that scored Austin Baskin, but that wouldn't be the only runs the Moo scored in the middle innings.
NEP would put up one more run to take the 2-1 lead but Fremont would take the lead for good in the 5th inning with three straight RBI doubles. That outburst was started by Ben Higdon who scored Ian Graf after his single to start the inning, then Skansi scored Higdon for his 1st of 2 RBIs, and then Derian Morphew scored Skansi from 3rd after he stole 3rd. The Moo would put up one more run in the 8th off of Skansi's moon shot of an HR to left field for the final score of 5-2. Skansi ended up going 3-4 with two RBIs and two runs and has been on a tear both offensively and defensively, ever since he came back from his injury a week ago at Hastings.
Evan Panjwani was credited with the win for the Moo going seven innings, allowing two runs(one earned) on five hits, and striking out four. Jackson Shelburne was charged with the loss for the Prospects going three innings, allowing four runs on five hits, and striking out three in the process.
