Fremont, NE- The Moo get their 20th win and first series sweep of the season in a 9-3 win against the Nebraska Prospects. The Moo now move to 4-1 in the 2nd half (20-14 overall) on the season while the Prospects move to 10-12.
The Moo once again were the first ones to strike offensively scoring two in the 1st, one on a Nico Azpilcueta single that scored Zane Skansi, and one on a bases-loaded walk of Zech Samayoa scoring Matt Spear. Fremont would put crooked numbers once again in the 2nd, this time scoring four runs started by a Ben Higdon single that scored Kanin Dodge. Then a Spear double scored Higdon, an Austin Baskin double then scored Spear, and finally, another Azpilcueta single scored Baskin.
The Moo would put up two more runs in the 4th on a two-run shot by Baskin that scored Spear but the Prospects would put up their three runs in the 5th. That was jumpstarted on a two-RBI single by Colin Lynam, then an RBI single by Zach Johnson would get them within five but another Baskin double scoring Higdon would put the game out of reach for good. Baskin continued his hot streak at the plate going 3-4 with five RBIs, two runs, and his third HR of the season, Skansi went 3-5 with one run, and Spear went 2-5 with two RBIs and three runs.
