The Moo take their 35th win of the season and Game 1 of the Divisional playoff series against the Western Nebraska Pioneers 10-3.

Fremont, NE- The Moo take their 35th win of the season and Game 1 of the Divisional playoff series against the Western Nebraska Pioneers 10-3. The Moo now go up 1-0 in the series against the Pios with Game 2 tomorrow night in Gering, NE at 7:35 PM CST.
It would be the Pios who opened up the scoring in the 2nd with three runs but Fremont would come storming back in the bottom of that inning with four runs. That rally would be sparked by a Matt Spear single that scored Ian Graf, then a fielder's choice scored Bentley Boekhout, a Ben Higdon single scoring Jason Axelberg, and finally, an Austin Baskin sac-fly scored Tyler Harrington.
Two more would follow on a Baskin triple that scored Higdon before a Derian Morphew single scored Baskin. The final four runs of the ballgame would come in the 7th on a three-run HR by Ben Higdon scoring Kanin Dodge and Harrington, before Baskin would go back-to-back and hit a star-scraper of a solo HR to go up 10-3.
Baskin would continue his streak at the plate going 2-4 with 3 RBIs, and Higdon went 4-4 with 4 RBIs. Marco Ibarra was the winning pitcher for the Moo going 6 innings, allowing three runs(two earned) on ten hits, and striking out two. Griffin Allen was charged with the loss for the Pios going 5.1 innings, allowing six runs on eight hits with no strikeouts.
