The Moo take their 9th win of the season and avoid the series sweep 9-4 against the North Platte Plainsmen.

Fremont, NE- The Moo take their 9th win of the season and avoid the series sweep 9-4 against the North Platte Plainsmen. The Moo move to 9-7 staying in 4th place while the Plainsmen move to 11-8 staying just ahead of the Moo in the Nebraskaland Division.
A common occurence for the Moo this season is scoring first and they did that again tonight in the bottom of the 1st off an RBI double by Bentley Boekhout scored Kanin Dodge from 1st. They would add another run to their lead in the 2nd by a Derian Morphew Sac-Fly that scored Jason Axelberg. North Platte would cut the lead in half in the 3rd with a solo HR to make it 2-1.
Another run for the Moo in the 3rd and a Sac-Fly for the Plainsmen would make it 3-2 before Fremont scored 2 in the 5th off another Sac-Fly by Boekhout scored Dodge again and an RBI single by Morphew scored Axelberg(Sense a pattern?). Fremont would score another in the 6th and NP would in the 7th before Morphew hit a solo HR to left field to make it 7-3 in favor of the Moo.
Fremont would score their final 2 runs in the 8th off an RBI double by Nico Azpilcueta that scored Dodge and an RBI single by Axelberg that scored Boekhout before NP would score one more in the 9th for the final score of 9-4. Evan Panjwani got the win for the Moo going 6 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs on 7 hits striking out 3 while Bryce Butterfield took the loss for NP going 3 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs on 8 hits striking out 3 in the process.
The Moo will begin a 6-game away trip Friday night with 3 games in Laramie, Wyoming against the Gem City Bison for the teams' 2nd meeting of the season and then a 3-game stretch against the Hastings Sodbusters next Monday-Thursday.
