The Moo take their 8th win of the season in a 14-5 win over the Badlands Big Sticks

Fremont, NE- The Moo move to 8-4 on the season after taking their 2nd win of the season against the Badlands Big Sticks and their 3rd series win in the process. Badlands move to 9-5 on the season still firmly in grasp of 1st place in the Great Plains Division.
The Moo once again struck first in the bottom of the 1st when a fielder's choice by OF Derian Morphew scored Kanin Dodge from 3rd to make it 1-0. Fremont would add 4 more runs in the bottom of the 2nd first by a fielding error on Big Sticks 2B Dalton Miller hit by Dodge that scored Matt Spear and newcomer Bentley Boekhout. Then an Evan Rowe double to right field scored Bobby Brown and Dodge to make it 5-0 Moo.
Badlands would strike back in the top of the 3rd with an RBI single to cut back the lead to 5-1. Fremont would increase the lead again to 5 in the bottom of the 4th on an RBI single by Morphew that scored Boekhout.
The Big Sticks would come back again in the top of the 5th with an RBI single to make it 6-2 before one run in the 6th and a 3-run bomb to right field in the 7th by the debutant Boekhout scored Jason Axelberg and Spear to make it 10-2. 4 more runs in the bottom of the 7th off a bases-loaded walk, then an RBI single by Austin Baskin, then an error by Dalton Miller off an Axelberg hit, and finally, a fielder's choice by Spear scored Hayden Lewis to make it 14-2.
Badlands would score their final 2 runs with 1 in the 7th and 1 in the 9th to make it 14-4 but that's all it would end up being. RHP Marco Ibarra got the win for the Moo going 6 innings allowing 2 runs on 8 hits and striking out 5. RHP Braxton Greenburg would take the loss for the Big Sticks going 4 innings allowing 7 runs on 6 hits and striking out 6 in the process.
Boekhout was the MVP for the Moo in his debut going 3-3 with 3 RBIs off his 3-run bomb and 3 runs of his own. The Moo will go for their 1st series sweep of the season tomorrow night at 5:05 PM CST and it is National Corn Day/GBR Night along with Kids 12 and Under/Well-Behaved Dogs getting in for free.
