Moo Recap: 6/7 - Doubleheader doesn't go the way of the Moo as they drop to 3-10
Moo drop game 1, 5-2. Then drop game 2, 6-5.

The Moo's winless drought continued into Sunday, as the Bovine Nine were set for an unprecedented two-team two-seven inning doubleheader. A rescheduled matchup from Tuesday against their Nebraska rivals, Hastings, and a bout with the traveling Nebraska Prospects
Game One
Game one was a rescheduled of Tuesday's home clash against the undefeated Hastings Sodbusters. The Moo went with Chase Nelson (St. Thomas), while the Busters went with Ethan Marshall.
Both teams would go quietly back-and-forth, inning-by-inning until the 4th when the Sodbusters would chase Nelson out of the game with a five (5) runs in the inning. Wes Cunningham (Howard College) would enter an do wonders for McGonigal's Moo. Cunningham would throw three-and-two-thirds (3.2) innings, allowing one (1) hit, while striking out five (5) total batters.
The Moo tried to mount a comeback in the 6th, when Jake Mitchell led off with a solo home run, his first of the season. Then, Tyrus Petsche (Johnson County CC) would drive in Michael Baker (Cal State-Chico) to make it 5-2.
That line would hold as the Sodbusters with their ninth of the season. The Moo put up two (2) runs on five (5) hits, while committing two (2) errors. The Sodbusters put up five (5) runs on three (3) hits while committing one (1) error.
Game Two
New game, new foe. The Nebraska Prospects would play game two versus the Moo as they looked to hand the Moo another loss.
The Prospects would initially jump on Moo starter, Aiden McGrath (Skyline), striking for two in the first and three in the second to give the Prospects and early 5-0 lead. McGrath would settle in, striking out a Moo team season high, 11 batters over the next four (4) innings. He would strikeout twelve (12) in total.
The Moo were down once again, 5-0, going into the sixth inning. A pair of singles, a walk, and a sac fly would drive in five (5) runs to draw even. The biggest hit in the inning coming from Joshua Hardamon (Midland) with a two RBI single to tie.
Joe Hauser (Creighton) took the mound in the seventh, looking to keep it at 5-5. Sam Patton would enter as a pinch hitter and would hit a home run in a pinch to put the Prospects in front and give them the win as the Moo couldn't match in the bottom of the seventh.
The Moo would drop their eighth straight as they score five (5) runs on eight (8) hits while committing two (2) errors. The Prospects scored six (6) runs on five (5) hits, while committing one (1) error.
The Moo will face the Prospects on Sunday, June 8th at 5:05 at Historic Moller Field. They look to end their longest losing streak in club history against the Prospects.
