Game two against Spearfish postponed due to weather, doubleheader to be played Saturday

Fremont, Nebraska - The weather bug has hit Fremont again. Due to the threat of severe weather in the area, Friday’s game two matchup between the Fremont Moo and the Spearfish Sasquatch has been postponed to Saturday. A seven-inning doubleheader will be played Saturday, June 7, beginning at five p.m.
This marks the fourth weather-related delay of the season at the Historic Moller Field, and Saturday will be Fremont’s second doubleheader of the year. Previously the Moo swept the Oahe Zap in a doubleheader on Monday, June 3.
In game one of the series Thursday night, the Moo fell 9-8 in eleven innings. Fremont led 6-4 heading into the ninth before the Sasquatch hit a game-tying two run homer. Spearfish scored three in the top of the eleventh, and the Moo scored two before stranding the game-tying run at third base.
Gates will open at 4:30 for the doubleheader on Saturday. Reserved and general admission tickets bought will give fans access to both games.
During game one, you can get a free hot dog with a game ticket. Throughout the entire contest, hot dogs will be half off from the Moo Treats and Meats stand.
The second game will be a Salute to Service game at Historic Moller Field.
